Sources of information and purposes of use

SMS text messages. When you enable the SMS spam blocking feature and give us permission, we will collect anonymous SMS text messages from callers who are not in your contacts and attempt to filter out all those messages that are spam. We use these text messages to identify spam and new spam tactics. These texts are not associated with your personal information when we collect and store them. You can refuse the collection of such information by turning off the sending of SPAM SMS messages to the operator in your profile in the Permissions section. SMS messages can only be stored by your carrier.

How we may use your personal information

For users who have enabled our call or message blocking technology, we may collect and use the contents of SMS messages that have been identified by the user as SPAM to help your carrier improve message blocking services, including for other users of your carrier. We will only collect SMS messages received from senders not on your contact list, which will be forwarded to your carrier to help identify SPAM. These SMS messages are collected anonymously and are not linked to your personal information when we collect and transmit them to your carrier.

Telecom operators

Telecommunications providers. Our carriers enable us to provide our services to you. We may share telephone numbers, SMS messages, with our telecommunications service providers as necessary to provide our Services to you. Additionally, if you are a Ringapp user and have agreed to forward SPAM messages to your carrier, such forwarding will be done automatically to your carrier to improve SPAM blocking scenarios. Such transfer is not permitted to any other party.

Calls and SMS

Please note that PingOcean LLP may only share test call data (without personal data) with responsible carriers if a RingApp user made or received a voice call or SMS from or to that carrier's network while performing RingApp test tasks while taking reasonable precautions to protect such transmissions from unauthorized access, use and loss. We do this based on contractual terms with telecom operators in order to improve the quality of services of mobile operators and reduce the level of fraud in telecommunications networks. We do not store data in third countries and transit data through the central RingApp data center. Ringapp does not receive or transmit personal calls to the server, they are not transmitted in any way and are only available in the RingApp application. Transfer is possible only via SPAM SMS test calls, which will be transferred to your telecom operator for analysis and blocking.
